Raglan (Manu bay) is claimed to have the worlds longest left hand break. I went along to have a look but never bothered surfing at Manu bay. I was put of by therocky stone reef break so if you messed it up and got trashed, it could be nasty. The other thing was there were way too many other surfers out all fighting for the one wave. the good thing was the length of the wave rides. The left hand break seemed to go on for ever.
Instead I went to Ngarunui beach where there was a nice beach break. The only problem was the wave rides werent very long. Catched a few good waves. A few good 3 - 4ft sets came through but most of the time it was pretty average.
After my surfing session. I spotted some local young hang glider pilots who had tought themselves so I was chatting to them for the next couple of hours. A good day in all
